PB’s, Placings, Titles, and new blood….

NZHL franchisee Allan Hartley improves his personal best to a blistering 6.84 seconds over the ¼ mile and on that run 187MPH (301Km) in his Supercharged Outlaw 23T Altered drag car. His season was interrupted by gearbox issues which by the time replacements parts were sourced he bowed out of two NZDRA points rounds of the National series so didn’t place well.

However younger brother 17 year old Nathan Hartley (3 time back to back junior Champion) stepped up in the hotly contested class of Super Sedan competing with some very experienced drivers and with engine woes causing him to miss two points rounds also still managed a 3rd place for the season, even winning a Nelson round, with his PB dropping to 9.5 seconds and 147MPH (236km)

One of the Hartley owned junior dragsters piloted by Sarah Ward took out the national series, which makes an NZHL backed driver taking a total of 4 back to back Junior dragster titles.

Next season while Allan takes a break from driving, Nathan will be back at the wheel while their Father Murray Hartley returns to the drivers seat of his newly built 1971 Mustang Drag car running a Supercharged 351 Ford motor, Abbie Davies whom earned a runner up at one meeting in her 1st season returns in her Hartley owned junior dragster and towards the end of summer Allan’s son Logan will run get accustomed to his junior dragster and get licensed at the tender age of seven.
